How to Fix My WiFi Not Working
A WiFi connection that drops or refuses to load pages is frustrating โ but most causes are simple to fix. Work through these steps in order.

- Router needs a restart
- Corrupted saved network password

Restart your router
Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait 2 minutes before testing.

Forget and reconnect to the network
On your device go to Wi-Fi settings, tap the network name, select "Forget". Then reconnect and re-enter your password.

Check for an ISP outage
Visit your provider's status page (BT, Sky, Virgin Media, etc.) or check Downdetector.co.uk for your area.

Run the network troubleshooter
Windows: Settings โ System โ Troubleshoot โ Internet connections. Mac: Wireless Diagnostics via Spotlight search.

Renew your IP address
Windows: open Command Prompt and run "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew". This fixes many IP conflict issues.
