How to Fix Bluetooth Not Connecting
Bluetooth connection problems are almost always caused by pairing conflicts, outdated drivers, or devices that need re-pairing. These steps fix the majority of cases.
Likely causes
- Device still paired to another phone or computer
- Bluetooth driver needs updating (Windows)
- Device not in pairing mode
- Too much interference from other wireless devices
- Outdated firmware on the Bluetooth accessory
Step-by-step fix

Toggle Bluetooth off and on
Turn Bluetooth off on your device, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on. This refreshes the Bluetooth stack.

Remove and re-pair the device
Go to Bluetooth settings, find the device, tap "Forget" or "Remove". Then put the accessory back into pairing mode and reconnect.

Restart both devices
Restart both your phone or computer AND the Bluetooth accessory. Power cycling clears most temporary pairing issues.

Update Bluetooth drivers (Windows)
Open Device Manager, expand Bluetooth, right-click your adapter and select "Update driver". Restart afterwards.
