How to Fix Instagram Not Loading

Visit downdetector.co.uk/status/instagram โ if there is a widespread outage, wait for Instagram to fix it.

Force close and reopen
Fully close the Instagram app and reopen it. On iPhone swipe up from the bottom; on Android use the recent apps button.

Clear the app cache
Android: Settings โ Apps โ Instagram โ Storage โ Clear Cache. On iPhone, offload the app (Settings โ General โ iPhone Storage โ Instagram โ Offload App).
